1961 Studebaker Lark VIII

The 1961 Studebaker Lark VIII convertible had a 259.6 c.i.d. 180hp, inline V8 engine.

Dual headlights appeared on the Lark for the first time. The grille got a slightly different pattern and the grille badge was moved to the corner in 1961. The hood ornament was an option on Larks.

Larks did have a fairly high lift over height on the trunk lid. The gas filler door was between the license plate and the right hand taillight.

This is one of the antique cars and trucks we saw at the 2009 Studebaker Drivers Club National Meet in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
