1959 Studebaker Lark

Lark was a new name in he Studebaker line for 1959. All 59 Studebakers, except the Silver Hawk recieved extensive restyling.

This Lark Regal four door sedan shows the result. Along with the retyling came some serious down sizing.

Except for the Econ-o-miler four door sedan, the sedans and the hardtop now had a 108.5 inch wheelbase and an overall length of just 175 inches. A good two feet shorter than the 58 models.

The Econ-o-miler four door sedan and the station wagons had a 113 inch wheelbase.

This is one of the antique cars and trucks we saw at the 2009 Studebaker Drivers Club National Meet in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
