1957 Studebaker President SedanThe 1957 Studebaker President Regal four door sedan was a little smaller than the Classic sedan. The Regal had a 116.5 in wheelbase, 4 inches shorter than the Classic.
At 202.4 inches, overall length was also 4 inches shorter than the Classic. Power came from a 289 c.i.d., 225hp, V8 engine. A three speed manual transmission was standard. An overdrive and an automatic transmisson were options. An easy way to tell a President Regal from a Classic sedan is the lack of verticle trim bars just ahead of the tail lights on the rear fenders on the Regal. This is one of the antique cars and trucks we saw at the 2009 Studebaker Drivers Club National Meet in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. ~ Find: Classic Cars For Sale ~ Find: Classic Car Insurance
