1953 Studebaker Champion Regal Starliner Coupe

The 1953 Studebaker Starliner two door hardtop and it's companion, the Starlight pillared coupe, represented a huge leap in automotive styling.

They were available in both the Champions and Commanders. series.

This Champion Starliner Regal hardtop coupe wears the inverted tristar emblem on its hood and trunklid. This emblem was seen on cars produced early in the model year. The Stuedebaker "S" (for Studebaker) nested in the top of the emblem indicates that this car has a six cylinder engine. On V8 models an 8 replaced the "S".

These stunningly good looking cars were designed by Raymond Loewy. These basic bodies would be used into the 60s with various incremental restyling.
