The Champion series was introduced mid year as the new entry level Studebaker in 1939.

The Champion Deluxe, like this car, featured two tail lights, two windshield wipers, front arm rests and driver and passenger sun visors..

Power came from a 78hp, 164 c.i.d inline six cylyinder engine.
