1967 Pontiac Firebird

In 1967 Pontiac introduced the sporty Firebird to compete against the Mustang, Camaro and Barracuda for the attention of the Pony Car crowd.

This Firebird convertible has a 400 cubic inch V8 engine and a hood mounted tachometer.

Other engine options included a 326 c.i.d. V8 and an OHC inline 6 cylinder.

This first year Firebird is one of the hundreds of cars we saw when we attended the Kruse Auburn Fall Auction, Auburn, IN, Aug. 31 - Sept 4, 2007.
