1956 Plymouth Ute

The Australian built 1956 Plymouth Ute has the appearance of the 1954 US Plymouth.

Ute is a body style, much like sedan or station wagon are body styles. They're similar in concept to the American Ford Ranchero and Chevrolet El Camino.

Utes were available from a number of manufacturers in Australia and were roaming the roads there long before Rancheros and El Caminos hit the streets of the USA.

This one found its way to the US and showed up at a Walter P. Chrysler Club event in Minnesota in 2003.
