1949 Dodge Coronet ConvertibleThe 1949 Dodge received a complete restyling. Coronet was now the top of the line series. This convertible shows off the new design nicely.
Taillights on the Coronet and Meadowbrook series cars sat in Chrome fin like housings on the top of the rear fenders. The brake light was in the trunk lid latch handle assembly. (the entry level Dodge Wayarer series had different taillights) The Coronet rode on a 123.5 inch wheelbase and had an overall length of 202 inches. Power came from a 230 c.i.d. inline six cylinder engine that was rated at 103hp. A fluid Drive transmission was standard equipment, with the Gyro-Matic automatic transmission being an option. ~ Find: Classic Cars For Sale ~ Find: Classic Car Insurance
