1958 DeSoto Ambulance

A 1958 DeSoto Firesweep was the basis for this Memphian ambulance.

Like other DeSoto Firesweeps this ambulance has front fenders that appear very much like those on the 58 Dodge. Another hint that these were built on sedan style bodies is the rearward cant on the traling edge of the rear fenders, On station wagons, the there was a forward cant to the taillight units.
