1934 DeSoto Airflow

The 1934 DeSoto had a completely new Airflow body style. The streamled design was dramaticly different than previous years.

This was especially true up front where the traditional upright radiator shell gave way to a very rounded grille that blended smoothly into the hood.

A large set of vents was prominent on between the front fenders and the front doors.

The Airflow design was shared with some Chrysler models.

Front and rear bumpers were options. Rear fender skirts were optional on some models. The trim on the fender skirts echos that of the hood ornament.

This grand old DeSoto was one of the 10,000 or so cars at the MSRA Back to the 50s' Weekend in St. Paul, MN on June 20 - 22, 2003
