All 1937 Cord 812 models, like this four passenger Phaeton, had front wheel drive.

Another feature of these cars was the retractable headlights. This one has auxillary fog lamps mounted above the front bumper.

This is one of the wonderful group of antique cars that we saw and photographed at the 2002 Salisbury Automobile Classic in Des Moines, Iowa.
