1955 Chrysler 300 Pace Car

The legendary 1955 Chrysler 300 was the first of the what would become the "Letter Series" 300 models.

Each year the model designation moved down (up?) the alphabet one letter, so the 1956 model would be the 300B.

The engine was a 331 cubic inch hemi producing 300 horsepower.

A noticable difference from other Chryslers was the grille, which came from the upscale Imperial. Inside was a leather upholstered interior.

Photo(s) taken at the Walter P. Chrysler Club National Meet in Plymouth, MN on July 26, 2003.
