1965 Chevy Impala Super Sport

This 1965 Chevy Impala Super Sport is one of the cars we saw at the Heart of Illinois Car Show in Peoria, IL on July 20, 2008.The 1966 Impala SS models came with bucket seats, console, and console mounted shifter.

The "Super Sport" script appeared just ahead of the front door, on the front fenders. "Impala SS" appeared on the right side of the grille and trunk lid.

The emblem just ahead of the front wheel well designates the engine size, in this cars it's a 327 c.i.d. V8.

Out back Impala and Impala SS had three lights on each side. The backup lights were in the center light on each side.
