1931 Buick Coupe

The big news at Buick for 1931 was the introduction of inline eight cylinder engines for the entire model lineup.

Those engines varied in size and power depending on which car series they were in.

Series 50 - 220.7 c.i.d. - 77hp.
Series 60 - 272.6 c.i.d. - 90hp
Series 80 - 344.8 c.i.d. - 104hp
Series 90 - 344.8 c.i.d. - 104hp

This coupe has a single rear mounted spare tire. Notice how the rear bumper appears to cradle the spare tire.
