The Kaiser-Frazer automotive business was the result of the post WWII
joint efforts of the ship builder Henry J. Kaiser and Joseph Frazer of
Graham-Paige Motors.
The joint effort was named the Kaiser-Frazer Corporatiion. Before joining
Graham-Paige, Frazer had been president of automaker Willys-Overland.
Kaiser-Frazer and Willys-
Overland joined forces in 1954 in what would turn out to be a failed attempt
to stay in the passenger car business.
Along the way they built some interesting automobiles including Kaisers,
Frazers, Henry Js, and Willys with the last U.S. models rolling out in
1955.
Jeeps continued to be built after regular passenger car production ended.
Most of these antique, classic and orphan collector car photos were taken
at local classic car shows, which is always a great way to spend a day.
