Edsel

The Edsel was introduced as a 1958 model positioned between Ford and Mercury. Edsel had a short three model year history, procuction ended with the 1960 models.

They were only sold as 1958, 1959, and 1960 models.

In 1958 eighteen different Edsel models were offered, including the smaller Ranger and Pacer and the larger Corsair and Citation.

The 1958 Edsel line up also included station wagons carrying the Roundup, Villager, and Bermuda model names.

In 1959 the Ranger and Corsair were the only series for sedans, hardtops, and a convertible with the Villager being the only station wagon series.

The Ranger and Corsair shared a new 120 inch wheelbase. They were a few inches shorter overall than the 1958 models.

The Villager station wagon continued with the previous years 118 inch wheelbase in 1959. The Pacer and Citation series were discontinued.

1960 would be the last model year for Edsel. The verticle center grille disappeared for 1960. The Ranger was now the only series for sedans, hardtops and the convertible. The Villager continued on as the station wagon.
