~ Find Classic Car Dealers ~ Find Classic Car Insurance Duesenberg automobiles were among the most stylish and expensive cars of their day. The Model J Duesenbergs started at around $8,500.00, and that didn't even get you a body for the car, which was extra cost. By the time they rolled off the showroom floor the price could easily rise to $15,000.00. That was in the 1930s, when a nice Cadillac could be purchased for well under $10,000.00 completely equipped. And far less than $1,000.00 could buy a new Ford Model A in 1930. Duesenbergs, were aimed at the elite, the very wealthy, and they were built and priced accordingly. Most of these photos were taken at local Classic Car Shows, which is always a great way to spend a day.
