This car came with a 428 c.i.d. "Police Interceptor" V8 Shelby put two 600 cfm Holley carburetors on it.

The standard transmission was a Ford "top loader" four speed. Magazines quoted 13.6 sec @ 100 mph in the quarter mile. It was only $200 more than the GT-350.
