1964 Pontiac GTO

This is the car that many people refer to as the first "muscle car". Whether they're right or wrong the 64 GTO was and is one very cool and very quick car.

Packed with a standard 389 c.i.d V8 engine and available with engine options up to 348hp these cars made go! seem slow.

Of course the proper name is "Pontiac Tempest LeMans with the GTO option", but anyone who was awake and aware of cars in the mid sixties will know what you mean if you just say GTO!

The first GTOs came as pillard coupes, hardtop (pillarless) coupes and convertibles.
