MSRA Back to the 50s WeekendJune 18 - 20, 2004 Once again thousands of street rods, antique, classic, and custom cars, and their owners and passengers, gathered at the Minnesota state fairgrounds for a few days of fun.
It was the annual Minnesota Street Rod Association Back to the 50s Weekend. There are always a lot of "first time at this show" cars here as well as those that are returning for another cruise down the main drag, and this year was no exception. You can almost always plan on spotting a rare car or truck like the cool 57 Dodge Sweepside D100 pickup. The Model T Ford "railcar" apparently has interchangeable wheels, so it can be used on either the road or the rails. Then there are the cars that make you wonder why you don't see more like them around. The 62 Plymouth Fury is one of those cars for me, where are they hiding? Maybe I just need to get out more. Enjoy these photos of a few of the cool street rods and classic cars that were on display.
