Event description: Prizes awarded in several different categories, activities include a recreation of a 1950’s soda counter, sock hop, twist contests, 50’s nostalgia storefront displays, and many other fun activities

Event Fees $5 registration fee

Flashes of steel and chrome, the sound of Buddy Holly, saddle shoes and poodle skirts. On Saturday, August 1st, downtown Gardiner will feel like a blast from the past with the upcoming “Go Go Gardiner Car Show and Sock hop. From 5:30-8pm Water Street will become a museum in the streets, decorated with nostalgic décor, vintage storefront displays,an old fashioned soda counter and photo retrospectives of the downtown during the 1950’s.

Antique Vehicle owners can register by phone (207) 582-3100 or e-mail gardinermainst@aol.com, with a $5 entry fee, which will help defray the cost of the event.
