Central Texas Museum of Automotive History

May 15, 2011
Rosanky, TX

We visited The Central Texas Museum of Automotive History on April 22, 2011. The museum, which was founded in 1980, has somewhere around 100 cars on display.

The photo of the display area shows a few of the cars including a 1910 EMF and a 57 Chevy.

Other car range from early high wheelers to the fabulous fifties and on to the 70's and 80's.

The walls are covered with memorablia of all types and ages. There is also a gift shop.

A restored Texaco gas station stands just outside the main building.

The 1903 Stanley Steam Car and the 1902 Galloway Auto Transport were real pleasures to see, as was the 1928 Stutz Blackhawk Boattail Speedster.

When we visited this museum we got a 2 museum admission deal so we could also visit Dick's Classic Garage in San Marcos, TX. San Marcos is only about an hour away. The two museums are part of the same group.
